Instructions For Resurfacing Marble and
Terrazzo Floors with Diamond
Abrasives
Equipment and Materials

Floor buffing Machine 175 RPM to 350 RPM.

Special heavy drive plate with velcro holders for diamond spacers.
-
Diamond spacer/holder.
-
Hardrock
Diamond Sanding
Pads from course to fine grits. (5 pads per grit)

EZ-Mask
tape and/or plastic sheeting.
-
Wet vac, mop, bucket, ringer, etc.
-
Sponges and rags.
Instructions
-
Mask off walls, carpet and other adjoining surfaces that may be damaged by
water.

Strip off any wax or existing sealers from the marble.
-
Attach the spacer/holder to the five matching velcro squares on the drive
plate.

Begin with the coarse grit diamond pads. Place them on each of the spacers.

Pour sufficient clean, cold water on the marble to keep the area wet while
grinding or, use a solution tank on the machine.

Place the machine with the diamonds in the water, turn on the power and,
using a side-to-side motion, make two (2) to four (4) passes over the area.
Note: Do not grind
all the way tot he walls or adjoining surfaces with the coarse grits. Start
6 to 8 inches away and over-lap with each successive grit. (You may go up
to the wall at the 600 grit level)

After grinding, vac or mop the area dry and check to be certain that no spots
were missed.

Repeat steps 4 thru 7 with the next finer grit until the desired finish is
achieved.
